Design Clinic is renowned for producing our own designs, but we also offer a mould making
and casting service for artists. Depending on the nature of the piece, we can take a mould from
the original sculpture and reproduce it in a variety of finishes, ranging from metals to stone.The
advantages of this for the artist are the possibilities of producing a limited edition of a particular
sculpture at a lower price than a conventional lost wax casting in bronze.The resin/bronze
castings which the majority of our artists favour are aesthetically convincing and can be
patinated in the usual way if required. Smaller castings can be weighted with iron filler to give a
more authentic feel. We produce work for Tim Shaw, Theresa Gilder, Lawrence Murley, Peter Boex, Maria Heitel, Lucy Swann, Rachel Readman, Leigh Heppel, Alec Wiles, Kurt Jackson
and many other UK artists.
